I know, sorry. Just feelin mean this morning.

Speakin of Rotorheads, I'm not one yet, I don't think. I am a rotor junkie. But from what I have gathered from reading post, most rotorheads (other than 3rd Gen) is that rated power doesn't mean squat and is over rated when it comes to rotary power. I thought that was the main difference between a Rotorhead and a pistonhead.

 

Stock 3rd gens dyno between 215-220 rwhp. I haven't seen a stock one do 225 although that is only 5 higher. I would have expected the Renesis to dyno in the 210 area but NO ONE except Mazda knows how much loss there is in the new transmission so it isn't completely accurate to say the numbers should fit that. I would have expected them to be close though. Yes the RX-8 makes less horsepower and weighs more than the 3rd gen. It makes FAR less average horspower than the 3rd gen too due to lake of forced induction. Average horsepower not peak is what makes you fast. Add this all up and of course it is slower than the 3rd gen. The 3rd gen was only rated at 13.9 in the quarter mile at 255 hp so I feel that for a car that has WAY less average horsepower and a couple of hundred pounds extra weight that 1 sec. slower isn't too much to ask. The stock 300 ZX twin turbo at 300 hp couldn't break a 13.9.

 

Can you please tell me where the heck you get that $60k CAD price tag from for an S2000? Unless the Honda dealerships around your area are price gouging...
