Mazda stands behind thier products

I had also heard the 25% failure rate quoted by I believe Zoom but I could be wrong on the source. I think the problems with the engine are not over rated at all.
A very, very good source says that the initial endurance testing on the Renesis predicted 200k miles reliability, but obviously that has not been realized with the early cars. Another reliable source says about 25% of the Renesis engines have failed. Do you hear any numbers like that, Sleepy? Hopefully, the problems have been sufficiently addressed in the 2009 engine improvements, but personally I would still premix.

My 1st Rotary was an 85' RX7 (12a) ..... I beat the livin' snot outta that thing and it still ran beyond perfect at 180k+ miles when I sold the car due to body damage.
I drove a few 85 SE's (13b) and some second gens ... and still liked my 12a better.
