Mazda We Would Like To Have .... In Our Rx8

Real auto climate control with degree adjustments, auto headlights with a override switch, running lights nice and bright, warning alarm for parking brakes, auto door locks and unlock, more interior lighting, .....what else would you like to see?

Turbo

A better heater with a fan below 120dB.

One additional cup holder that does not get in the way of the shifter.

A NAV DVD that works.

Definitely the auto headlights. (The headlight circuit from the 6 would be OK)

My last car had all that, except for the climate control thing..

I came to this car because it doesn't have all that crap. This car is different from every other car out there. Let's keep it that way.

One More Thing

I love the look of my RX8's interior at night. However, I would like to see the overhead bank of switches for the sunroof and the interior lights backlit. For some reason, I have a hard time finding them in the dark.

Other than that, nothing. I did notice the other day that there is no "door ajar" or "trunk lid open" light, but I decided they weren't really needed. I tend to agree with guy321 - I don't want a bunch of "comfort features."

Tail lights that don't leak, head lights that don't fog up and getting rid of the reminder of what you are driving everytime you start the car.

A dimly lighted overhead light button would be nice actually

- Telescopic steering column.

- Equalizer on the radio to cut out some of that harsh midrange or a button like expanded or dynamic expander

- Surround sound capable stereo system

- More f--king heat!!!!!!!! I don't care how they do it. Just more heat for the winter!!!!!

You guys are greedy. I'd settle - I'd be THRILLED for simply the 238hp promised, and fewer interior rattles.

This is also my biggest gripe about this car. I always have to put my drinks in the back seat cup holder, and reach back for it when I want it. Its terribly annoying. Some more torque would be my next thing. I don't care how we get it (larger rotors, an additional rotor, a s/c, or a turbo), but it is definitely needed.

Exclamation Hybrid Rotary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about adding a electric motor to assist the Rotary and IMPROVE our already BAAAAAD Fuel milage.........we might be ale to gain bottom end torque by having the electric engine do the take off job and then the beauty ROTORY do the rest....that's what I would like tosee in futures RX8's

ALSO a Supercharged or Turo version could be nice.
Daytime running lights issue you can resolve it by overriding the fog switch to be able to turn it on and off wothout having the head lights on.

Trunk open light on dash.
Ditch the front cup holders and put in a deeper box.

Telescopic steering wheel would be really nice for us long legged people who don't like to crouch or have our legs smashed. Americans are taller (on average). After a year of driving, that's actually my only major gripe, some of the things others mentioned would be nice, but not necessary for me. More power would be nice though :D

The 8 is fun, a real pleasure to drive. The base model has the features I want, and those are features you'd pay extra for on any other car.
