The one thing I WANT (and alot of others would too) is the ability to get into the damn PCM and ECU. That is the biggest stepping stone to the turbo/SC working right, and the gas mileage sucking. The fuel maps are WAY to rich and the only solution right now is a piggy back system (i.e EManage)

Besides, for less than half of the cost of the integrated Nav, I can get a handheld with as many features -- that I can take with me when I park the car, or even use in another vehicle.
Personally, I think something as honestly simple as a compass suits the expressive character of the car much better than a Nav system ever will... of course, that's just my interpretation of the RX8...

I would like a toll-free, call Mazda tech and get a bullshit free explanation of any concerns, issues, or idiosyncracies we notice with our cars.
Yeah, I know. Not gonna happen. They'd have to deal with idiots like me.

I still don't have my DVD, and I have zero (read: 0, as in ZERO) complaints about my 8 other than the cretin hit-and-run driver (loose use of the term "driver") who mashed my fender and put my car into the body shop a few days ago. So, what am I really missing?

Other than that, nothing. I did notice the other day that there is no "door ajar" or "trunk lid open" light, but I decided they weren't really needed. I tend to agree with guy321 - I don't want a bunch of "comfort features."

So far the only thing that really has been a huge disapointment is the POS Navigation System. Wish I had spent some time with it before purchasing. I have other vehicles with nav systems that are awesome. Mazda gave no consideration to the end user with this product.

It wouldn't surprise me if the engineering staff treated it as such (i.e., an afterthought, as opposed to an integrated piece of equipment). I suppose having a "navigation system" on the options list gives the product line a bit more of an "upscale" flair and attraction...
