Mazdamaniac COBB calibrations

Have many people used this service? I was wondering how you get the base maps or the password for it after you use Google check-out. Does it arrive by email? the same you use for Google check-out? If so, how long does it take to arrive?

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask the question, considering I'm paying for it... Also, not too worried about flames. The page itself doesn't even mention how you get the base map, aside from saying "it" might take 11 days to ship. I'm assuming that's a remnant of when he used to sell the cobb at the same time, because I can't imagine why it would take 11 days send a receipt email, shouldn't it be instant?

edit: I don't see any mention of how to get the base maps on that thread unless I missed it, I'll reread it again...

That's what I was talking about with the "Google check-out" reference, I purchased it via that link, but I'm not sure how to get the base maps. The information talks about sending in the datalogs AFTER you put your base maps in and do your logs.

"1) If your AccessPORT is currently installed, uninstall your AccessPORT from your car by following the uninstall directions provided by the AccessPORT menu uninstall option.
2) Remove ALL existing calibrations from your AccessPORT using the AP Manager software. You can save them on your computer if you like for future reference.
3) Update the AccessPORT firmware using the AccessPORT Updater downloaded above.
4) UnZIP the new MazdaManiac base calibration that you have downloaded and move it to the AP Manager and then onto your AccessPORT using the AP Manager software.
5) Install the new Base Calibration on your RX-8's PCM using the install menu option on the AccessPORT. If your AccessPORT identifies your model differently than the selection you have made from the above link, you will not be able to install the new base calibration. Please Contact MazdaManiac with the information presented on the installation screen about your particular model RX-8 if it is different than that which you provided when ordering your calibration.
6) Start your RX-8, bring it to operating temperature and drive it carefully for a few minutes. On boosted applications, avoid going into manifold pressures above 2 or 3 PSI until after you have completed the procedure for your first calibration submission. For the purposes of the Calibration Service, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO OBSERVE ANY DISPLAYED PARAMETERS AT THIS TIME (though you may, if you choose to do so). Allow your RX-8 to cool for at least 8 hours and repeat this drive cycle again, allowing the engine to cool completely before proceeding."

#4 is the problem, there is nothing in that procedure that says " this is how you will get the base maps". It gives you a link that requires a password but makes no mention of how the password is obtained.

Ok, good. I was mostly worried that I missed some page after the check-out that gave the password or something.

ABORT ABORT ABORT

Seriously if you're at this stage and already asking about this, you might want to step back and do some research and reading before moving forward, to determine if this is really something you want to be involved in.

If you are a new AccessPORT/MMCCS user, you will receive instructions for the "v4.0" base calibrations. This corresponds to section "A" of the online instructions (which are a virtual copy of those e-mailed to you).
After you have progressed through your MMCCS process, you will receive instructions for the "v4.0.1 and up" calibrations. This corresponds to section "B" of the online instructions (which are also a virtual copy of those e-mailed to you).
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE DIFFERENT!!! READ THEM!!!
If you purchased just the MMCCS, you received your instructions e-mail the next business day after you placed your order.

Yeah, already received it by this point, thanks. I was really just asking because I thought I missed something. Thanks for your reply.
