Let me break it down for you gxyooj. Listed below is the factory production models/trim/range that were available in the U.S. market for model year 2004.

Model year 2004 (No factory Mazdaspeed RX-8 introduced to the U.S.)
1. Base
2. Sport
3. Touring
4. Grand Touring

All U.S. 2004 RX-8s that have the Mazdaspeed kits/accessories were only add ons from the dealership or aftermarket shops.

how many times do I have to say I know the car that he is talking about. I WAS GOING TO BUY IT. But his uncle did. It is not a mazda speed now that we have that all cleared up but it does have 13,000 in mazda speed parts. That is what it does have down to the wheels so really he could kind of say that it is a mazdaspeed 8 but not from the factory. A magazine I beleive car and driver but don't quote me did this to the 8 to see how the car would perform with all of the speed parts. Thank you thank you. It is a sweet ride though and his uncle picked the car up for a steal trust me.

He should have bought one of the awesome turbo'ed rx-8's that are for sale on the forum for 20k and been able to have enough money left over for a second rx-8.

There was one MS 8 due for import to the US. I had set up a special deal for it, but some jack8ss has it and won't relinquish it!! I'm going to kick his **** when I get my hands on him - he goes by the handle 'Cougar Ace'.
