Actually the RX8 is classified as "Sub-compact". That's what my title says anyways.

I drove my cousins ms3, and I said 'wow' Two reasons: fast, yes. torque steer, major yes! I went down this road where I do my decarbonizing and there's a corner at the end of it. Steering felt horrible compared to the 8. Yes, because it's ff, rather than fr. But i mean, any noob can be fast in the straights.

Saw something interesting today. I was at a light behind a RX-8 with a MS3 right next to it. The MS revved his engine at the 8 and the 8 revved back. An 1/8 of a mile down the road there is a pretty sharp long left hand turn onto the highway (two lane) . Light turned green and off they went, from what I can tell the 8 feathered the clutch well and got a good launch but so did the MS3. Off the line the MS3 had the definite advantage, by the start of the turn the MS3 had almost a 1.5 car lead This is wear it gets fun the 8 blew by the MS3 in that turn, I could tell that the 8 still had some more grip available if it needed it. By the time the 8 reached the end of the turn the MS3 was a good 4 car lengths back . They were both very interested in the others car so they exited at the next exit and went to a secluded area to test drive the others car.

LMAO, I was thinking the exact same thing. How in the world would this guy know they got off the next exit to check each others vehicles out? Did he follow them off the exit and watch them pull into the parking lot to look at each other, and perhaps suck each other off?
This story would have made much more sense if he was the one driving the RX-8, not the one "following" it....

OMFG ROFL!!! I'm still laughing so hard i could suffocate!!
On a more serious note, everyone here needs to get off their horse and bashing the MS3. Its a great car for the money, and oh, have you checked Cobb's website lately? With the R&D they are doing for that car, its going to be a monster on the track. Its a great car, for a great price, and its entirely different from the RX-8. I happen to own both cars and my MS3 is my grocery getter/WRX killer. Everyone here should be happy about ANYTHING that drives more revenue/press/people to Mazda. Where do you think Mazda is getting all their $$$ for R&D on the rotary engine?? You guessed it, the Mazda3, have you checked the sales numbers lately.
I still love my 8, you'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. I also happen to love my MS3. I'm so sick of everyone bashing cars because they have power.

I just bought one for a commuter car since my 8's lease came up and I'll be honest - the thing handles DAMN close to as well as the 8 handled in day to day driving, plus it goes like hell with minimal drama. I'm constantly amazed every time I G-load it as I run up interstate on ramps. The thing sticks like glue, has almost no body roll, and stays very neutral even under power application. I mean, I bought this thing because it was the best car priced near 20k, but I'm really starting to think this thing could steal some sales from the big boys if it had a nicer interior. I have yet to take it out on a track, though, but if it handles like it does on my daily commute, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Being that the site does not condone racing I was trying to be nonchalant. So yes I was the one driving. We parked both cars and he let me drive the MS3, sweet car I must admit felt really stable and the torque felt nice. No turbo lag but I’m no expert. After he drove the 8 he said that if he would of had an extra 5K for a down payment he would of got the 8. I’m in the market for a 3rd car since me and wife are looking to start a family. Her wrangler and my 8 just don’t cut it. Know I need to find a way to convince her the MS3 is good safe family car. It sounded sweet to.
Can we hear about the hot gay sex you guys had in the secluded area?

It seems to me that if that is what you were thinking you’re the one with the homosexual tendency’s. Same goes for nycgps, you guys belong together A flight to NYC from Milwaukee is only $200. This doesn't warrant any more words. Have fun guys.
