Me and my New 8 =]
First off, let me show you the picture of me and my 8:
I drove the car home on sunday... Pretty much brand new...
It's fully loaded, GT, navi, red/black interior, sunroof etc...
I'm LOVING the car so far I'm just trying to decide what to do as far as my investments towards it, and what I should do first (window tint is otw)
I'm thinking either Black rims w/ chrome tip or just chrome rims.. not sure yet.. suggestions of rims that would look good would be nice
Anyway It's my second baby =] or should i say.. maybe my first? haha

I think black is the only color that looks good with the red and black interior. Congratulations and welcome to the club.
As far as mods go, it depends if you want to go for cosmetic mods or performance mods. Your door is in the way of the front vents, so I can't see if you have strakes or not. If not, the stainless steel strakes are a very good buy for a quick and relatively cheap way to sharpen things up. Clear corners are also essential, especially for a black 8.
I don't know much about rims (mine are stock) but if you want to go chrome, Mazda makes chrome ones in the OEM style that are gorgeous but pretty expensive.
You'll also want to look into either the Hymee or Racing Beat Oil/AC screens that protect your condensers from damage. Can save you a lot of money in repair costs.
For performance, this car responds very well to suspension mods, especially sway bars and coilovers which can be had for a good price. The only way to get a significant gain in horsepower is through forced induction. There are some kits out now that can take you up to 300 whp with just 6psi. But if you don't want to totally void your warranty, the best way to go is with power pulleys (Agency makes a good one) and a hi-flow cat or catless midpipe (I have the RX7store/Bonez Supercat, and it's great).
Anyway, enjoy the new ride.

I got the car through hours and hours of pain.. the story is kinda crazy.
I spent months looking for one that was almost brand new, with the exact options I wanted (GT, Navi, Sunroof, Red/Black Interior, Appearance Package) and I finally found it.. One problem: The car was located 1200 miles away from me.
Solution: At this point I was desperate, I recieved 120 photos and 6 videos of the car and decided I was buying it, we settled a deal and shortly after scheduled a plane ticket for my father and I to fly to michigan, and soon after buying the car, we drove back to Florida (18 hrs) .
It was so worth it... I love the car now.. and btw, it does have the strakes on the side...

How old are you? There are several teenage members including me. I'm 17 and got my 8 on my 16th bday. The ladies at your high school will love it. Haha, they always want to ride with me over all my other friends. Haha, gotta love that backseat.

I'm 17... I knowwww all the girls love that ****. I pulled into my school parking lot after school (because i have early release so Im usually gone by the time schools out) Next thing I know, I have a huddle around my car with a buncha my friends (mostly girls) looking at it, i love when they see the navi/suicide doors, that just tops it all off specially with the black/red interior..
anyhow im proud of the one I picked out, it looks amazinggg.. just need to tune it up with some tint and rims
Theres 1 other RX8 at the school and mine blows it away, in every way.. lol
Im so glad I chose the 8 It drives soo smooth, Ive driven lots of nice cars like my uncles lambo and porsche gt2, not that this compares to them at all, but for the price of the car, it's a beauty... any anyone confused on what colors to get... this is the best combo in my opinion. The red/black interior contrasts so well with the black exterior.
Thanks for your input guys.. more input on the rims would be nice... thx

Thataboy. Ya man, nothin' better than the chicks ooing and ahhing over the inside of your car, cranking that super sweet rotary up, and having the navi pop open. Chea son, that's the best. Well, next to taking it up to 9k. Everytime I do it, girl's are like that was fun! Do it again! Haha, I love this car. But, I don't have the black/red inside. I have the all black on black and I do have tint too. I recommend 20%. It's illegal here in GA, but it looks straight so I got it anyways. Check it out!
