Merry Christmas, need some help :(

First Merry Christmas to all, and Happy New Year!!!! Well I went out to do a quick oil change (first time I am doing it myself) and I also decided to check the air filter too due to all the dirt we have had on the roads. Well I forgot to make sure everything was plugged in and started the car. Well imidiately I noticed that the idle was off and it wouldn't leave 2grand and wouldn't rev, both the check engine and DSC light came on. I shut down the car and re-hooked up the MAF sensor and made sure everything else was on tight, and restarted the car but the lights are still on and no throttle responce How do I reset the system? Just unhook the battery or is there some sort of reset sequence? Or should it recover after a moment?? I didn't let it run and warm up since I didn't know if it was going todo anything. Thanks for any help.

Mike

PS: I am starting to prefer my little carbed RX-7, so easy to work with :-p

Ok after starting and shutting off the car a few times I got the error to clear and everything started working. Phew.
