Metra (standard radio faceplate) kit, how many people are interested?

The metra radio kit seems to be a really popular kit on this forum, and Im kind of supprised that nobody has done a group buy on it.

I was considering purchasing the vendor (group buy licence) and possibly starting up a group buy on it. Im not sure of the price we would be able to get but if we got a decent ammount Im sure he'd be able to give a decent drop.

So I was just wondring how many of you guys would be interested in it- if I get a whole bunch of ppl interested I might do it so speak up if you are.

(THIS IS NOT A GROUP BUY YET,,, JUST GETTING AN IDEA OF HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE INTERESTED TO SEE IF I SHOULD START ONE)

that would depend on price, if you can get it lower than ANY other online retailer than people will be down to be a part of the group buy.

I just put one on my car last weekend with a pioneer stereo. It's pretty kickass to be able to get nav integrated into the stereo.

Ok so it looks like it might be worth doing. I just emailed him asking what the prices he could offer, should have a reply by later today and will post prices.

The more people we can have interested the cheaper the prices will be most likely so if you are even slightly interested SPEAK UP.

Payment will most likely be to him through paypal through ebay but will get the specifics if I go through with it and go purchace the vendor licence.

Ok I got a responce from one of the sellers, still waiting on the quotes from the other two sellers.

But so far here is the First Quote

$145 each for 5
$140 for 10
$135 for 15
$130 for 20+
(shipped)

Still looking for cheaper prices but let me know if you are interested

If you are interested, let me know what the max you would be interested in would be (EX say "interested 15" if you would be able to do up to 135.

no offense, but to sit in a queue hoping 19 other people send in their cash to save 15 bucks? Some of these group buys can take months to get all the people needed for the super-awesome savings.

Yeah, I know. Im buying one regardless by the end of today, so I guess If other people out there were going to buy one eventually and were looking for a discount now'd be the time

If we can even get just 5 people then that would be better than nothing...

If you are interested then speak up by the end of today, we will probably only get 5 but to me thats better than nothing....
