Mock Rebuild engine without seals

Hello everyone,

I'd like to to reassemble my block and electrical accessories at least three times before I put the expensive seal kit in. If I do not install install rotor seals and water jackets during my mock ups, is it possible to damage anything? Everything inside will be lubricated with oil and I will avoid turning the engine.

Thanks

LOL.....not sure why you would bother....but it won't hurt anything.

Watch when you are putting the center iron over the e-shaft. It take a careful wiggle to get it to drop together. Other than that there isn't really anything difficult to do at all.

All the finesse is getting the seals clearanced properly and putting the apex seals and springs into the rotors when you install them

Yeah I would be a little worried about the rotor sliding against the irons or possibly even the housing when setting the center iron. Normally the seals would hold it safely in place..

Thanks guys. I did it today without rotors and shaft. Harness, specifically oil and fuel injectors were a pain but everything else was relatively easy.
