Skip Barber racing school. Best day of my life. Just don't tell my wife I put that above any day with her.

The absolute most bang for your buck:
Revi intake w/ K&N drop in and a midpipe. Same HP as a $400 intake, and a $700 exhaust, but no loud freaking muffler that will wake up the neighborhood. Plus no problems with sensors and warranties.
As far as looks go: rotary accents, strakes and tint are a must have.
You could do all this for about $1,000 if you install the intake, filter, and strakes yourself.

Driving school is great and all. But I don't think you'll really be testing the limits on public roads all that much. At least you shouldn't be, for everyone else's sake.

The best mod you can do is driving school. A properly trained driver will enjoy his car far more and be far faster with a stock car on the track than some untrained hack with a heavily modded up car.

Of course you don't get that deep, satisfying, "goddamn I'm cool" feeling you get with modding the car itself, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Greddy SP2 w/ straight pipe or a high flow cat. about 600ish

Clear corners from ebay about 60 bucks.

some shocks and springs for a nice drop / improved handling. thats gonna run you about 500ish. plus install

Canzoomer piggy back ecu , im not sure the price on that one.

a nice tint? about 120bucks.

Very true, but it's still not an everday driver type of mod. He already implied that he's not going to the track anytime soon.

ANY Everyday driver will get far more enjoyment out of properly driving the car on the street or on the track than some bundle of ill-behaved parts that ALSO will never see the fun of the race track. What a waste of performance hardware - just so you can feel like your schwanz is an inch bigger?
