sometimes i regret getting an MX-5 and wondering if i should of gotten an RX-8... Then i look at my Insurance, and my gas bill and then i smile.
lol yeah guys, love the car, and everything about it. but i can't afford 20MPG and an extra 100~300 dollars in insurance.

I learned that being a cheap *** cost more in the long run. Buy crappy parts, they don't work or look ugly, so you end up buying the quality part anyways, so you wasted the money on the EBay Special.
I only got burned with my ebayz grounding kit. My stupid big carputer setup as well (like I posted on the first page). I ended up just taking off the grounding kit and the carputer is now sitting in the garage getting no use, as I had a custom mini carputer built. So I wasted the $$ on that first carputer I never should have bought.

"The Miata is, and always has been, a meticulously engineered sports car for hard-core purists. But it gets used as a Corky Romano sight gag because it’s not macho in any way that our culture comprehends.
It is probably inevitable that Mazda will eventually buff up the Miata’s image by giving it the 263-horsepower turbocharged engine from the Mazdaspeed 3. The resulting car will be faster, but I have a feeling that, hardtop or softtop, the original version — so light, so fluid, so balanced and slick — will still be the best."—NY Times

k&n v.2 intake, biggest waste of money. Made the car sound like a ****** riced out civic and did a great job of sucking in hot air.
Mazsport Dual Resonated midpipe. The quality of the piece is amazing, the sound is great... but I'm starting to think I would have been better off saving that money towards a flywheel.
AP Pulley- I mean it's a cheap modification but still, a waste of money as I doubt it did a damn thing for the performance of the car.
Racing Beat Flash- For the money I spent to get this thing (x2), it's extremely dissapointing and if I had never done it I could have had an accessport instead.
Everything else I do not in the least bit regret. HKS single exhaust, Z-Ent grounding kit, S-techs and Tokicos, Falken rt615s, AFE SS, R-Magic Airfilter.

I regret the Tokico Adjustable gas shocks...they are a ******* pain in the *** to adjust and I just keep them on "full soft" because my car is lowered and I bumped up the size of my wheels.

I regret my AEM CAI....I don't notice much over stock except the sound of the engine. I would recommenr a short ram intake if someone is just looking for soemthing. The sound of the short ram on the renesis is amazing!! And, I got the CAI knowing I was gonna get a turbo.....

no mods= no money to do them in my case. i hate every single body kit for the 8 so far, they all look overdone like a space ship gone wrong. the mods i want cost too much money i rather the factory look with all my money on the engine. but i do regret not getting that 12 dollar speed chip on ebay. i hear good things about it.
