Moisture/water?

Lately during rainy days I've noticed that there tends to be a small water puddle on left-ish side of driver carpet. I've always assumed it was because I step in with wet/snowy shoes and the water just doesn't dry up that fast. Now when I've compared with passenger carpet, it seems like it's not normal after all. Driver carpet keeps staying wet no matter how long I wait. And I've problems with moisture on windows if I don't let the A/C run pretty high direct on windows. I wonder if there might be a water leak somewhere around the door or is it possible it's just a circle where I keep dragging water inside the car, condensating once it gets warm inside the car before going back to the carpets when I leave it?

Did you figure out what the problem was ? I'm having this same issue. I notice that the water appears to be dripping where the hood release latch is :/

You might be missing some rubber seals by the door, or the rubber seals are loose. The only way a water could get in is without rubber seals in it.

Put a paper towel on top of something so it's not touching the carpet. If you get water on it then you know there's a leak, otherwise it's just water from your shoes.

Nah its not water from my shoes. Last night it rained alot here in NY and this evening when i got in my car for the first time I noticed it again (second time Ive noticed this).

I made a new thread with my exact issue.

When I opened my door I saw a pool of water on my plastic floor mat and noticed the carpet was wet. I also felt water droplets where the plastic black hood popper is, which leads me to believe that the water leak is coming from there..but HOW ?

Yea I do have a sunroof. Where is the A pillar located at exactly ? Would that cause water to leak out of the area where the hood release pull is ? How is that fixed ? Thanks man

a-pillar is the two vertical frame around the windshield
I dont know about RX8 but I know most cars have the drain tubes going down in them.
you can try to remove the interior trim to see whats in them. I think to unclog you will need some compress air blow into the tube on the sunroof.

I had this issue with an suv . It ended up not being a leak at all, it takes a while for the carpets to dry up after they get wet all the way through.

I had to use a dehumidifier to finally get it dry. I'd try that before taking off /replacing parts.
