Or save money on daily work commute and make those weekend drives that much more special?
To each their own though.
Although if you have to daily drive a sports car, doesn't get much more practical than the rx-8.

Giving a 16 yo a car like this is mildly criminal, IMO. Ok, it's done, so the most important mod you can make is to you. I agree, with extra $$ to spend, the best way is to engage in some serious on-track driving instruction. If there's some impulse left to drive fast, use the cash for entry fees in autocross and keep the insanity off the street.
Mods? Have fun if you wish (sounds like the 'rents will make up for any mistakes), but money spent on mods is gone or worse. A good rule of thumb is to subtract half the cost of the mod from the resale value. That's why you see so many ads for used modded parts in the classifieds as guys go back to stock before tradein.
I'm betting though, that this car won't survive a year or so anyway, because, if you're the average 16 yo male these days, you'll be stupid and crash it. On the other hand, I'd be delighted if you prove me wrong.

This is going to sound like the boring, adult thing to do... but I know you won't listen or care.
Your grammar skills are enough to show me that you aren't smart enough to understand the importance of our advice.
"money will spent how should I make my car better" - This phrase makes absolutely no sense.
Save your money for when you need to do maintenance or replace existing things, like tires - good tires cost more than you make in a month.
Don't be spoiled and accept the car as a free gift - take the responsibility of helping with insurance/gas/maintenance costs, etc.
Happy Birthday and leave your cell phone alone while you're driving.

wait til the stock tires waste and invest in some GOOD tires...nothing like riding on new quality tires...drop it on stock wheels...intake for better sound...hid kit on ur foglights...IPOD interface's a must (look up the DIY here I use my ipod and only spent $8)...maybe a tune up u never know how the last driver drove the car. If u go to the rx7club they have a guide on how to buy a used rx7 and issues to prepare for...we dont really have that here. With that said if I purchased a used rx8 and dont have a concrete history on the car I would seafoam it first thing.

Just some thoughts (things I've done that I can heartily recommend):
Racing Brake Sport slotted/curved vane Rotors
Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads
Russell Speedbleeders
Racing Beat Ram Intake Duct
K&N high flow flat Air Filter
Racing Beat Oil Pressure/Temp & Coolant temp gauge pod and sensors
BHR high output ignition system (incl. GMC Yukon coils)
AccessPort ECU Tuner and custom maps
AFE Short Shifter with Voodoo Magnum ****/laser etched shift pattern
Clutch Pedal Reinforcement kit; Mazsport/FluidMS
Clear side markers (‘corners’) with Stealth (‘chrome’) bulbs
Front brake vent side Strakes, color matched to vehicle
225x45 Toyo T1R Summer max directional Tires on stock 18x8 rims

For the same reason people climb Mt. Everest... "because it's there." (j/k)
Agree, the stock RX-8 braking system is quite good. But my rotors were somewhat scored and the pads squeaking. I must admit I didn't have much dust with the stock pads, probably more due to my use of engine braking.
The Racing Brake Sport rotors are, well, sportier looking. And the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads are near silent and very low dust. The Russell Speedbleeders aren't all that necessary, but they appealed to my engineering-elegance side.
Now, should I go with stainless steel brake lines ....

I wasnt going to do many pwr mods until I saw the Greddy turbo kit for $3559 from a couple vendors. midpipe/catback should be your 1st mods if this is your route. Ive read it has its shortcomings but a Cobb accessport with Mazda Maniac tuning addresses most of those and the turbo can be upgraded but Im still not sure whats wrong with the included snail other than lower output than desired. Boost, oil temp gauges are needed also, Im still researching. Im prob gonna wait for the warranty to expire before I void it w/ a turbo.
