Welcome to the club. You will get these answers from people that think their cool on rx8 club. I know weird right, you can google your question or search for it on here as they previously stated, but rudely. If your wanting it to be a lot faster obviously you can turbo it or put a 3 rotor in it. If you don't want to spend all that money, then buy pulleys, CAI, full exhaust system, headers, or cut weight out of the car. This car is known for its handling and 50/50 ratio; not its speed. You can make it a little quicker, but not by much. Good luck

Adding all those aftermarket bolt-ons are a waste of money, for the amount of gain that you achieve...

Ha this is funny, yes you did give advise, but rudely as stated on my first post. Rickeo shares the same views on seeing people that are new to the forums getting attacked. I agree its just taking up time and space, but hes new and learning. I'm not here to hold anyone's hand, but I will defend people that are new. There are a lot of experienced people on here and know their car. Also bolt on parts are a waste of money, time, and effort. It's hard feeling even a slight of difference in anything you do to it.

Hee Hee, this tread went absolutely no where! Welcome to the club fellow newb! But seriously, this- site:rx8club.com -is a powerfel weapon when trying to familiarize yerself with your new companion. Just plug it into a google search engine along with yer question. I like to close my eye lids and roll my eyes to the back of my head and pretend information is being uploaded to my brain likein the matrix. Read the 'sticky's' all kinds of good info there. and get your hands on a copy of Street Rotary by Mark Warner. It's a good read.

Make a new thread and risk the flame machine's wrath OR make a post in an old thread and get the wrath of acting like jesus. You can't win really, so do what it takes to get the answers you need.
For the OPs question everyone is pretty much right so far. Drop the weight the car has to push for a small bump but nothing higher than stock or use mods to actively add HP. Just remember if you go the way of turbo or super chargers be sure to include supporting mods to take care of cooling etc.. A lot also depends on if you want to keep it street legal. Adding things like a high flow cat and a cold air intake are 'relatively' minor things that you can do for small increases. But hey you add a hundred pennies up and you have a dollar right? It adds up.
When it comes to keeping a car street legal you may have to get creative. I would start with the stickies in the performance threads and go from there.
