Most embarrassing 8 moment...

well... something that hasn't been mentioned exactly the same:
When I'd take my car in for w/e before I would put it in gear for parking, I wouldn't check that it was in neutral when I'd get in. Of course whoever parked my car would leave it in gear, so I'd start the car and pull my foot off the clutch... obviously stalled.
A lot of these aren't too bad or are things that happen to the best of us. I know I've stalled on a hill and over revved after restarting the car... I've also had the wonderful grinding sound of barely not being in reverse.

I'm coming up to a light about to take a left at what might have been too high a speed. When I downshifted I dropped about one gear too low and the car seemed to slow itself with a break application. Hell, honestly I don't remember WTF happened. I tried to execute this insane turn and it seemed like the car just said "hell no fool". It rapidly lost speed and went side to side a bit. I remember shocked faces in that intersection. Like they all thought I was gunna wipe. I smile and wave to everyone as I make my slow left. Once through I punch it like I could outrun that embarrassment. Unfortunately it was a mile from work at my normal commute hour. Well at least I no longer work there.

Most embarrassing? I'd say having to explain why my front bumper was cracked, due to this girl I was having relations with plowing it into a curb after several days of constant begging to drive it. Will never make that mistake again however.

My worst was pretty bad. I drive 3 different vehicles, so I never remember which side the pump goes to. I drive up to the pump one night, the place was deserted.
I get out "F%ck!" Wrong side. So trying to show off to the girl I was dating at the time, I drive forward to the back of the station which is the size of a small parking lot. Put it in 1st. Rev it to 4 grand. **** the wheel and drop the clutch. The whole move was gorgeous. I drifted to the pump perfectly. I begin to fill up, I notice the attendant come out. Turns out he was the owner of the place and had called the police on me. I had to wait there to be ticketed. She asked to be taken home after.

You need some T-bolt clamps haha
I think my most embaressing moment was driving my car home for the first time. I never drove stick before and had a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of me. Of course there was traffic down the highway and I looked like a total tool.

My most embarrassing moment on the 8 is.. I park the car and went to Five guys and ate with my buddy. We we leave and I somehow proceed to drive forward thinking there isn't a damn parking curb in front. My friend keeps saying, I know your not going forward. I'm like yea, why not?! So I step on the gas and ahhh crap. The 8 gets stuck on the curb. OMG, all the people passing by.. And some construction workers were in front of me laughing.. I had to turn the wheel left and right with my friend pushing the car backwards. Oh god, I was ready to die. I should of taken a picture with the words. "FAIL" .. Good thing we got the car out, I wouldn't be able to handle a damn tow because of this.
Forgot to mention some guy was screaming "nice car!" ..

not mine, but I finally got my wife to drive the car.
She turns the car on.....and promptly mashes the gas to floor instead of the brakes.....
Lucky... she didn't put it in reverse yet. though a cold engine got a nice uber high rev

I never knew this until a few years ago when my buddy who doesnt know anything about cars told me, no idea how he knew that.
Not to embarrassing more funny I guess but the first time I went to test drive an rx8 I was really nervous because I didnt wanna break it in a test drive and as I go to drive away I forget about the e-brake and cant figure out why I'm not moving, then it dawned on me. In that same test drive I get to the turn out from the dealership and this was the first time I had ever drove a RWD car and it was a sport model so no dsc or any of that. I end up fish tailing out of the dealership with the sales guy watching because I gave it to much gas. I thought he was gonna flip out when I got back but he didnt say a word. All that before I even owned an 8.
