GA Motor shakes at stops.

When stopped my 8 shakes real bad under the hood. Only happens when stopped and in D or R. I've changed plugs recently and also inspected the motor mounts, they look fine. Could it be bad plug cables? I'm pretty sure it's not shields or something small like that as the whole engine assembly shakes together. PLEASE HELP!

Looks can be deceiving. Right side is usually the first o go. It may look good on the outside but internally it is shot. I've owned two AT's. Ask me how I know about engine mounts.

Ya, the sound seems to be strongest on the right. I've seen threads on DIY, thinking about giving it a shot. Anyway of knowing for sure before I buy a new mount?

plugs, coils, mounts, maf, fuel

pick your poison and start checking.

If your car's under warranty i'd still have the dealership check the mounts.. they can look fine but still be dead as disco.

if you are not getting CEL, it is like 90% likely that it IS motor mount. and it shakes real bad cause tat is the only time you can feel it, make sure that your plugs are all tighten properly with the coils on properly, and if it's stlil going. it IS motor mount.

i had the motor mounts go bad on my 2005. took it to the dealership, pointed out the TSB (http://www.finishlineperformance.com...01-09-2062.pdf) and they replaced them under warranty.

If u push on the center of the rubber on ur mounts and urfinger sinks in ur mounts collapsed it should be hard in the middle
