Multiple CEL codes thrown, loss of power, where to go?

Hello all... I searched for a while on these 3 CEL codes but never really saw anything relating all of the codes so here we go...

2005 GT (Winning Blue )
63k miles, regular service done since I bought it (around 40k)

Anyway, after a fairly long road trip my CEL came on, and I had a large loss of power and the car would act like it was stalling in the higher RPMS (like anything over 5k) so the next day I took it to Auto Zone and they pulled these codes:

P0302
P2070
P2069

I know that the first two are Valve 2 misfires (or something like that) and the SSV valve stuck open, not exactly sure what the 3rd one is.

So, that being said, what would you guys recommend the next course of action is?

I have the BHR ignition kit on the way whenever the shipping backlog gets cleared up, but I fear there is more to the story...

I think I may need to go see the Mazda dealership but if they want records, I do not have them... I change the oil myself and have never thought to keep the receipts or anything

Anyone have any suggestions?

well start with coils, plugs. if that does the trick your fine. if not, probably a blown engine.

If it doesn't do the trick is there any chances of the stealership covering it under warranty?

If not, what kind of cost are we looking at here?

all RX8 engines are covered under 8 year and 100k factory warranty. so if its a blown engine, Mazda dealer should be able to get you a new one, but you need to fail compression test and vacuum test in order to qualify a new engine.
if you getting a new engine, despite the engine warranty, there will be other stuff you need to pay such as fluids and oils. the warranty ONLY covers the engine.

I don't understand why people do this...

Receipts = less aggravation
Hopefully it's not the engine, but if it is I see a few phone calls to MNA in your future

I recently switched dealerships and the new one was able to pull up all my service records from the old dealership on their computer. No receipts needed.

My main reason is because I'm young and don't know any better... This is only my second car and my roommate is a mechanic so if something goes wrong we usually work on it together and we do all the servicing on both of our cars ourselves...

It's a tradeoff, he teaches me more about cars, I teach him about technology lol so I've never seen the need to store receipts about all this stuff because technically there is no way that they can prove that, because I have the receipt for oil, other fluids, filters, plugs, whatever it may be, I actually used it on my car and performed the service. I know it's done, but there is no Mazda tech standing there checking off on it.

Anyways, Sunday I'll change over the plugs/coils/wires and report back.

If anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to add them here! Thanks

Well.. as a kinda update, I was driving it around today and was angry and red lined it several times and it seems as though the power is back completely... also even when in lower RPMs it doesn't have the sluggish feel and I'm able to accelerate relatively quickly when I previously wasn't able to.

However, the car still studders/acts like it wants to stall when really on the gas above 5k rpms.

No word yet on the BHR system, not here yet

why not just get stock coils?
BHR might be pretty good, but they are a bit pricey just for normal use I think.

Good stuff. The "run the **** out of it until it fixes itself" approach

Well... to update the situation, yesterday I received the BHR ignition system and spark plugs and changed them immediately... after about 3 hours we were back in business. Started up the engine and she ran just fine, idled smoothly, CEL off and everything. Went and took it out for a spin later that day and all the power is back and the car has no issues over 5k RPMS.

So, all in all, after a slight delay, the car is fixed and runs fine (for now)

Thank you all for the help and suggestions
