also the camaro will most likely have the ls3 which is a basically new engine there wont be an upgrade for a few years after its released so you are safe to say the camaro will be the same the first 2-3 years its out and the ls engine is proven tried and true there will be no glitches in it. the only thing i would be worried about it markup

You're reading far to much into my post. I never said the LS1 was a glitch and I never said there was anything wrong with it. It was an upgrade. As was the hood scoops and dual exhaust and also bigger front brakes for '05 +.

In fact both the 04 and 05 GTO's have some minor glitches(as I call them). Such as non-illuminated steering wheel controls and super slow seat motors. Which were subsequently fixed in the '06 models.

"The new Camaro will be a rear-wheel-drive car with independent rear suspension. The car's styling work is being done in the United States, while the rear-drive platform is being engineered in Australia, Wagoner said. Buyers will have a choice of V-6 and V-8 engines, and manual and automatic transmissions."-GM CEO Rick Wagoner

Still doesn't indicate for sure where actual manufacturing will take place.

If it came down to it what should I do

Keep the 8 ( if funds allow ) or Trade it in on the Camaro
Keep the 8 for at least a couple more years. You know GM won't release the really top Camaro for at least 1 or 2 years. If you think the 09 will be powerful, wait until they put the 600HP engine into the Vette SS and then the Camaro will get the Z06 500HP engine. IMO. I had an 1986 IROC Z28, automatic w/ the 5.0, the next year they relased the 5.7 and a standard transmission.

If you are buying a house I'd say wait a while. I'll have my 8 for at least 5-6 years becasue I'm buying a new house next year. The next car after that will be a Camaro, 135 or possible Kabura. Maybe a used 911 but unlikely.

alright just looked like you were calling a glitch or like they did it because the 04 models had something wrong with them. and yes i know you own a GTO =P
