My 8 is parked now.

I knew it was coming, but I hated the thought. My 8 is officially garaged now. Over the last couple of weeks we have gotten over 4 feet of snow, and if the last 6 hours are any indication, we will have another 3 by the time the weekend is over.

I never bothered to buy new tires for it. Since I also have an SUV, I didn't see the point. But it doesn't make it any easier.

Come on April! March could happen, but that might be optimistic.

It's funny you mention that. I've considered it. If I could just convince the boss that I have to hibernate.

Actually, I see my 8 more now than I ever did. I smoke, but not in the house (or the 8). The garage however, is fair game. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time in the garage.

Yes, the windows are rolled up tight. :D

And then in a few months it will be back in the 90/100's
Thats one reason I wont move down south. But it would be nice to get away from all of the snow and rain here in Pittsburgh. I swear it rains 5 days out of the week

About this time every year, moving south starts to sound very appealing. But when summer rolls around and it is 80-85 and 20% humidity all of the sudden all these twisty roads around here just call out.

My RX8 has been garaged since late September. I am in Alaska. April would be optimistic for me. I hope by Memorial Day (last week in MAY)

Very simple solution- Just buy winter tires! I too have an SUV, but no way in hell am I garaging my 8 for months on end. You're missing out on some killer winter fun...

Hmmm... this all sounds soooo familiar Although there are occasional days between October and May when the roads clear up just enough. Unfortunately, there's not enough of them. BTW - I also smoke, but not in the house or the 8, so I spend some serious quality time in the garage with my 8, wax, various cleaning chemicals, and my laptop so I can read all the stuff in the "Show and Shine" section of RX8Club.com. :D

That sucks guys, sorry to hear that. You know...I don't know if I'll stay in FL all my life...and while I like the snow, I would not be happy having to put my car away...that SUCKS!

If I was in snow, I'd probably get a AWD car just so I could drive it year around.

We have had some unusual weather here as well, It has been in the 60's to 70's all week. No wonder everyone is getting colds. I do not drive the 8 in the rain and will never drive at all in the snow. Our whole city shuts down after a couple inches of snow.

Earlier today, I blew off nearly 2 feet of snow from the driveway. It hasn't snowed much after that. It's snowing now, but not very hard and pretty fine flakes. The possibility of another foot before Monday morning looms.

As much as I love my 8, I have appreciated the 4 wheel drive Durango lately. It is very good in the snow. Yeah, just got my recall notice a couple of days ago.

Mine is parked too

I'm here in Reno, my 8 won't be leaving the garage for a while, 4 1/2 feet of snow in the drive way after this weekend and more on the way tomorrow...

That has to be tough grn rx 8. I thought that I had it bad. We are pretty well geared up for a good dump here. I doubt that you usually get this much snow at once. Just remember that spring will get there eventually.

having and rx8 and now being able to drive it is horrible!

sorry about the bad luck guys, hopefully the weather will go easy on ya and clear up just so the 8 can be free again. :o

snow doesn't hit down here in southern cali. i always thought it was a bad thing, cuz i could never try boarding, but now i realize i should be thankful for this weather of rain rather than snow.
