my car got oogled today for the first time
So was walking out of the tasting room of the winery where I work and this couple was headed out towards their white mustang convertible and my car was parked right by the walkway, and both of them stopped while walking by the car and were completely enthralled by it, I locked it and made it beep at them
All this after I took 2 twisty roads to a town 10 miles away to sign a piece of paper that I could have mailed in instead...
god I love this car

Yessss!!!!!!
And pretty soon you will be driving around with this kind of embarassed grin on your face! And people with good cars do react like you belong to their set!!!!
You are in SLO!!!! I thought you were in San Jose -When you coming to the other end of the county!!!
We really do need a SLO 8 Club!!!

Having people rubber neck to look at your car is always a great experience! A few weeks ago I pulled out of a neighborhood and while waiting for traffic a nice looking girl and her b/f were checking out my 8. The girl actually dragged the guy to a stop and watched the car till I took off.
I should have offered her a ride...

A good 5-6 months ago, I was cruising around on I-93N in Boston when a group of guys in their teens or early twenties in a late model (2007?) light blue Chrysler Sebring sedan came up fast on the outside lane. When they were driving next to me (in the middle lane), they started talking/pointing at my car. They stayed for a good 20-30 sec before one of them whipped out a digi cam and started taking pics. It was hilarious...I felt so embarassed. If I were driving a Ferrari 360 Modena, or maybe even a Lotus Elise, I would have waved back at them.
I just sat a i little lower in my seat and pretended to ignore them. Thanks God, my exit was coming up right then, so I just got off the highway.
True story.

I had the same experiences a number of occasions. Cops seem to love the 8 too. Feels VERY strange when a cop compliments your car. I actually got out of a speeding ticket a couple weeks ago because the CHP officer liked the car. Just told him I stayed under 3000rpm but was still doing 80 "accidentally". LOL
