the neighborhood is not bad. and as i said before, i really think it's someone who doesnt like me. since its not the first time and no other cars were vandalized. so i could live anywhere and it would happen.
it seems i must have have fucked the wrong chick.

FInd a friend that has a bull mastiff or a rottweiler. Borrow the dog at night. Tie it to the front of the house, leave enough lead so it can reach the area where your car is parked.
I was getting vandalized for a while by some dimwit. Borrowed my buddy's pitbull for a week, sweetheart of a dog, but never screw with him. Pit woke me up the first night around 3 am by barking, heard tires squealing. Never heard anything again after that. Gave the dog back after a week, the problem never returned. I bought that dog the full spa treatment for that, LOL. Cop who patrols the area thought it was a great idea too, just make sure the lead does not extend past your property line and you are fine.
Putting the food/water dishes near the car helps. The dog will tend to hang around that spot.

It may be a one time thing, but if it isn't, you're better off camping outside rather than possibly risking the health/well being of a dog.

Unspoken rule of the univers: You NEVER mess with another person's car. If you have **** with them, you take it up with them. None of this "hide in the bushes till he falls alseep then leave oil on his car and run hehehehe".
God I would blow an oil ring if this happened to me. Definitely invest in some security. Dunno about a gun and definitely not a dog. If you want to catch whoever did it buy the camera and no floodlights. They will be more likely to scram and not do anything to your car if you have the lights. And you need proof of them in action. Although I would warn you that this is a public forum and anyone can read this

^I seem to always recite these words when someone tries to calm me down....
Seriously, that kind of crap drives me crazy. I had vandals on my old block when i first got my car. Needless to say i caught up with them when i staked out my drive way...
It really sucks for it to happen man - i hope those asshats that did that crap get theirs 10 fold.

Personally, in this situation, I would not worry about the dog. It takes an especially sick type of individual to willingly hurt an animal. Going from dumping oil/slashing tires to justifying animal abuse is a pretty big quantum leap in reasoning. Vandalizing cars many consider to be a victimless crime, since everybody has insurance.
Unless you plan to be within eyeshot of your car 24/7, I honestly don't know how you are going to stop this without some form of active deterrent. The second they know you aren't looking, they'll hit again.

how could I missed this !?
sorry to see that man, damn it this sucks.
When I first saw the pics I was like "Wtf did they pour on your car?"
Oh its used engine oil ...
It looks like someone on your block hates you because "your car looks better than his/her car". He/she could be watching when you took those photos. Im 99% sure its someone lives around there.
Get some Security camera, make sure no one sees you installing it.
I thought you already got the shock sensor. hmm, its pretty easy to install. get it.
What did the cops say? (I know they cant do **** about it, jusut wondering)

^ hahah, the thought has crossed my mind.
@ razz, yes, someone else drove the car. and yes, it was indeed the chassis scraping.
@ everyone
MY CAR WAS VANDALIZED AGAIN!! WOOOOOOO
no slashed tires, but more oil. maybe its someone with something to say on rotaries. it took awhile to clean up, and then i had to clean it up again after i drove it, cause more oil poured out of the crevices.

But seriously, leave a sign on your car "You're doing it wrong. The oil goes in the car, not on it"
...on second thought, don't, cuz these people may put oil in your interior
