An AAA membership can eliminate a lot of headaches.

Or, shock horror, you could change it yourself and never call in the first place.

Oh i get it.

So the girl was stupid because she assumed that someone calling MRA wouldn't call if all they had to do was the simple task of pulling over on the side of the road, jacking up their car, pulling the tire off and putting one on, vs calling MRA and just having them do it. Yeah, she's a total failure at life.

Be a bit more understanding in the future, probably help you succeed in life.

From: I've shaken off the sands of SouthWest Asia and returned to Houston and Gulfport, MS
I flooded mine once in the first couple months, and used MRA. They were great--I couldn't imagine that I could get out of my dilemma that easily.
OTOH--I was stranded last month in son-in-law's '05 Accord, and searched desperately (unsuccessfully) through every inch of the thing trying to find a lead on "Honda Roadside". Guess it doesn't exist.

Makes me appreciate Mazda even more.

Yeah, fair enough. That's happened to me in the past.

In past cars I used to carry a decent wheel brace if the OEM item was puny.

Another good call is to check the torque tension on your wheel nuts before any long trip to ensure you CAN get them off if need be.

this was your original post

You're the one calling me a douche?

You were a total Douche with a capital D to the poor operator who was trying to get some information in order to better serve you. Yes it's very possible that you had a spare, yes it's also very possible that you dont know or have the desire to change a spare on the side of the road

No I didn't and I think you know that. You meant it exactly as I took it, and you were wrong. Why you can't admit that i dont know, heck you even owe the girl an apology in my opinion, but hopefully this thread will lead to you being a bit more tolerable and considerate in the future.

I think your original intention was to sound cool and hip and whatever you young bucks like to sound like, but it came off wrong. I doubt you even said those things to the girl. I was just trying to encourage you to admit it, and help you out in the long run.

I just had a terrible experience with Mazda Roadside service which you read. Do a search for Mazda Roadside Service = Joke.

A couple of points to keep in mind. Mazda roadside service is outsourced to the same call center in Atlanta that handles BMW and a variety of other car makers.

Mazda has outsourced the actual obtaining of the tow truck to triple A which means the call center in Orlando calls Triple A and then Triple A tries to find a tow truck in your area.

This is apparently too complicated of system because it appears to take 1.5 hours before the local tow truck company ever gets called by AAA and that company is instructed by triple A to everything to just get the owners car started thus reducing the Mazda/Triple A/Tow Truck company bills.

The bottom line is Mazda doesn't give a rats *** about the owners nor do any of the other companies. None of them are looking to have the best roadsite assistance program, just the cheapest.

I am sure everyones experience will vary.

Sometimes you just don't want to do it yourself. Maybe it's raining and you're wearing a suit you'd like to keep clean. Maybe, it's more relaxing to sit there and listen to the tunes while you wait a few minutes for the tow truck guy to come and do it for you. Just maybe when one pays for a service, they expect to get service!

For those that don't want to wait for a tow, but they didn't buy the optional spare... ya took the risk; ya knew the consequences...
