My first ding/scratch

Well, YES.... The inevitable happened...

I was getting ready to come home from work on Friday afternoon, and I called my wife to see how she's doing...... Right away, I noticed her voice a little strange. She stated ; "Oh... ****..... I think tonight we are getting a divorse"......

I asked her "Why"...."What happened...?"......

Well,,,, let me tell you..... My 8 was parked in my garage.... and she desided to go out with the bicycle to pick up my daughter from school...... Well...... **** happens...... She dropped the bicycle right on my 8.......and suddenly.... ding/scratch.!!!!!! Just underneath the black plastic vent on the left-front fender. When I was on the phone with her..... I just dropped the phone and left work.....(it was around 4pm).....
On my 1.5hour drive back home.... I couldn't stop thinking on the severity of the scratch.... At this point I had no idea of the conditions of my baby.....I was imagining anywhere from a little insignificant scratch to a big/deep/long scratch across the side of the door...or something.....
After my agonizing 1.5 hours, I get home and the first thing I do is go to the garage and inspect the 8.... That's when I found the scratch..........
Well..... I guess there is nothing I can really do to avoid scratches like this... (unless I keep the car inside a time bubble)... but that is not very realistic... is it?

Now, the car is in perfect condition (minus the ding/scratch in that area).... I'll get pictures when available.
I know that I might be all **** about it, but the reasoning is that I sometimes hesitate into taking it to work because I don't want some stupid *** to hit my car in the parking lot...... but guess what... My own wife in my own garage scratches it....... ****>>!!!! I guess the inevitable happens....Well,,, I gues I will wait for other things to start happening to it, so I can claim it on the insurance all together and get my $250 deductible's worth. As for my wife.... I still love her....

I don't allow anyone in the garage. Car has no scratches.

Also, tell her a divorce is not necessary. But the next time this happens you may be looking for a place to hide a body.

Wow -- I feel you pain man... especially since in about 2 hours I will be going to this "dent Guy" here in Fort Worth Texas to get three dings/dents sucked out of various panels. All of mine are due to ******* ******** in parking lots who feel the need to swing their doors all the way out so they can get their fat *** out to go to mcdonalds or something. What sad is yesterday I go to the dent guy to get it evaluated and get a quote (this is paintless dent repair) and in the process of going over the car for dings with him, i found ANOTHER one that must have just happend yesterday in the parking lot. You could even see the white paint left by the other ****** who hit my car. Thank god I have a few layers of zaino on my car to give my car a *little* protection.

Don't feel weird about being **** with your car, I'm the same way and for $30,000 I will do as much as I can (within reason) to keep my baby perfect.

Friendly tip too: depending on the severity of the ding... if they can just paintless dent repair it, or if they have to fix/respray the whole panel... I dont know if i'd involve insurance. If you can get it fixed via paintless dent repair, it should only cost about $40 to $100 bucks, so really no point for insurance.

Hope it comes out all right!
Jeff

There'll be more scratches to come. Just enjoy the car man, there's no way it's going to stay perfect. It's no fun constantly worrying.

She stated ; "Oh... ****..... I think tonight we are getting a divorse"......
Haha, are quotes like this household these days?
