My First RX-8 restore!

My First RX-8 restore!
So I recently purchased this gem from a local auto salvage. It was insanely cheap so I couldn't pass it up. Only 51600 miles. It dosent run yet, but I think it is just something that needs to be reset, because it will try to start, just wont catch.
I am having trouble finding a Bumper Cover and an ALUMINUM hood (was sent a fiber glass one from a vendor), as well as headlights, but those things are my next steps.
I put the wing on last night, that I pulled of a RX8 that was burned, and slapped it on. I also plan on getting new wheels for it, but haven't decided which.
What would you guys suggest for my ride? I'd like to keep cost low, but of course I want a nice ride.
And I have the air intake, I just took it out to clean it.

he said he got hood and head light, so I assume it was totaled from front collision
Hmm ... I would say have someone check the frame and make sure its good before you dump any money into it.

More info on what the engine does when you try to start it might help with more ideas as to what could be wrong. Typically you need to do more than just reset something if the engine isn't starting.

The black windshield-washer reservoir marks that as an early 2004. Not to be too negative (mine's an early 2004), but those had the most engine problems. I think you'd do well by beginning with a compression test, before you throw too much money at it. But if you want to try some simple stuff I'd begin with new plugs/wires/coils. If you can't get it started, a push-start might help get it running. Read up on the decarbon procedure in the DIY section. If you get it runnable, make sure it has all the flash upgrades and recalls from Mazda. Also look up the TSBs at finishlineperformance.com, particularly the one titled "engine cranks, no start".

i'd get it running before you buy new rims.
here's what i'd suggest before you spend any money on it:
push it to 7-8 miles an hour, and let the clutch out in 2nd gear.
if it needs any of the small things, it will still start. if the engine is blown, it will not start. if its flooded, it will still start like this.
