Little by little everyone, I get to play a little more... :D

OK, so driving home from work I was at a stop light alone and my baby was fully warmed up, so I took her to about 4K and let her lose.

I did not reach 7K (still breaking in) but felt enough to know that good times are too come. I'm at 901 miles and I plan on takeing her to 7K on a daily basis once I hit 1,000. After 1,500...I'm going to take her to BEEP!!!!

I can't wait, I just thought I'd share my first wheel chirp with you all... :p

it all depends. a day could range from 100-200. a weekend could range from 200-400. go to your local race track and find events. search around in this forum as well...i'm sure there are plenty down in FL.

 

I've gotten sideways while playing (no other cars, just me and the 8). I'd never done it before so it was a bit tense for me, but the second time was reeeeeaaaaalllly fun :D

On track prices, like the man said, it's not too expensive. The nearest track I WANT to go around is Birmingham, one of the last stops on the Grand Am circut, and was a track that Haskel won at last season... It's $150 an hour for one car.

 

I autocrossed mine with 1200 miles on it.

lol, and yes it is fun to play with the car I've been CRAZY for...

The thing is, I have not gone over 7K yet and only gone over 6K like twice, so I'm just going crazy waiting to play some more. I cant wait....

I would love to take my 8 to a track but I've never done anything like that in my life, so it would have to be an open track so if I run off the track (since I"m a major newbie to that sort of thing) I dont' want to hit anything but grass and dirt.

One of the mod's I thinking about is attaching a tiny high resolution color camera (hidden camera) to the front of my 8 so when and if I put her on a track I can take video of it. I can then share it with you guys/gals.

Maybe I can convince my wife that for my B-Day I get to play with the 8 on a track. By then, I should have a few thousand miles on it and I can really FEEL what she can do.

Ohhhh man, that would be SO MUCH FUN...but March is a little close for me to save up (convince my wife that $300 plus hotel, board, food, gas, etc) the money I need. Also, we have a trip to Virginia comming up in Spring break which I think is in March????
