My low mileage R3 "build"
Now that the waiting period is over, I figured I'd make a proper introduction post.
I picked up this flawess 2010 R3 in June at a dealership in West Virginia and drove it home to Ohio. At the time of purchase she had just over 9500 miles on the odometer. Not a scratch in the paint, not a nick on the interior, nothing. All I could find was a small scratch on a wheel. Anyway, long story short, mechanically everything checked out. Still warranty on the core, cold starts, hot starts, everything perfect. Like new. Everything stock. It looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.
on the 2.5 hour drive home I started compiling a list of things to order. Even though this car hadn't seen many miles, I wanted to give her a good service because of the time passed. Hell it still had the original tires and even they looked like new!
So when I got home I started ordering.
oil (5w30 Pennzoil)
filters (OEM)
transmission and diff fluids (redline)
coils (Spirit R "C" coils)
plugs (NGK)
wires (NGK)
coolant (Motorcraft advanced green "FL-22" )
Tires (255/35/19 Continental Extremecontact Sport)
Nokya Yellow LED fog lights
Exoticspeed R1-T catback for the S2
that's what I've done so far. On the list are 19x9.5 wheels, Autoexe steering wheel, lowering springs, and I'm trying to source a proper Mazdaspeed wing.

love it! I had an R-2T with the rotary tips on my 07 so when I saw this car come up for sale I already had this on my list lol. I thought about a different catback for a little bit but decided to go with what I knew I liked.

Lowered the car on Tein S-tech after much reading about the higher perch on the rear S2 shocks.
Drop looks great. The front I pre-loaded by putting a jack under the knuckle and lifting it off the jack stand and tighten and worked great. The rear however didn't drop using that method so I left the top bolts on the rear suspension arms loose and put the car on it's wheels and backed it up on rhino ramps and tightened with the weight of the car on it's wheels. The rear dropped nearly an inch that way. Now the drop looks nice and even front to rear.

Added a Racing Beat dual resonated midpipe. Love it! Sound quality improved but the volume stayed about the same. Easy install, perfect fitment and as of yet, no CEL.
car is sitting just over 10,400 miles.

Well, spring is here, and the R3 has been out a few times. Started right up, a few blasts down the interstate to blow out the cobbwebs lol!
She needs a proper cleaning though. Maybe this weekend.
I also ordered the autoexe steering wheel so when that's on an alignment will be done too.
Miles are at 10,957

The wheel is in. What a difference! Completely changes the feel of the car. Nice and thick instead of that stock stringcheese rim. I love it! Favorite mod so far! And it looks so good with the R3 interior.
