The one I got is guaranteed for seven years to do what it says it does. No recommendation that I need to have it done after the original coating. I've known people to get it on their cars, too, and they say it is just wonderful. No water spots or anything. The only "personal" experience I have with it is in one of my mom's cars. The seats and floormats were treated with a Teflon protectant (this was in 1998) but was recommended to have it reapplied in about three years. I'm sure there have probably been improvements made in the products since then. Anyways, my stepdad spilled his coffee all over the passenger seat and driver seat and also all over the floor. It did not soak in or stain or anything!! We were all very impressed. Good thing the car had it on. I don't know that they would have opted to buy it extra but they got it because it was already applied to the interior.

Thanks for the info and congrats again!
It looks like Costco's pricing comes pretty close to S-Plan afterall. What's the sales tax in Oregon like, or how did you get away not paying sales tax? In CA @ 8.25% sales tax, your out-the-door would've been $36,255.00, which sounds about right. Low interest rates definitely are a big incentive...

Pretty much. I got a new job and my schedule works out so that I can fit in 80 hours of work not so much different than what I had been scheduling myself to do various things at home plus work, so basically the only change I will be having is having to drive in to work for one of the jobs!!!

FYI - you can deduct such sales tax on your income tax, however, you must choose to do that instead of certain other deductions. I would have either needed to skip my much larger deduction of my NY state income tax or my itemized deductions (mortgage interest, real estate taxes, etc, etc). Thanks anyways turbo-tax.

Here's the plan. If you're on the east coast, you give me $30k and I'll buy an RX-8 and let you drive it. Sure, I'll technically be the owner, but it'll be your car. Bunny will take care of all the people on the west coast. Now, this is definitely illegal and there's a good chance I'm gunna steal your money and never actually deliver the 8, but that's besides the point. Gotta take advantage of that no sales tax!
Who's in?

The fabric protectant is basiclly Scotch Guard you can get at Pepboys. As for the paint sealant, I would complain about waterspots in 6 months and they will reapply it for free. That way it keeps looking good. What is strange is it is made by the same people who make NuFinish.

Then take the money you saved (OK, only about $40 of it) and buy a Zaino kit or a Malm's kit and wax it yourself. You'll get better results, your paint will be better off, and you won't have padded the dealer's profitability.
hope it's not too late.

I have to totally agree. I made the mistake of getting that, and was so happy. Then a year and some later I waxed it, and put some $5 stuff on the inside, and it looked exactly the same. Its a total rip off, don't do it!

Congratulations!
I have read with interest Bunnygirl's saga. I am very pleased she bought what she wanted and was/is willing to work so hard to have her dream car.
With that....thank you for all you have contributed to the forum as well
