Is my PCM caliberation gone??

ok quick question...My car has been standing for about 7 months, with the battery disconnected. Now after plugging the battery in, i feel like the car sometimes gets a bit of a rough idle. I had the latest pcm flash done on the rx8 last year. Is it possible that my pcm has been reset do to disconnecting the battery???

do i need to get a new flash agian each time i dosconnect my battery ??

thanks

This is normal
Drive the car like you normally would and all will be fine

Give it a couple cycles

Nope, you cannot "un-do" a flash. Well, unless you flash the PCM to an earlier revision, I suppose.

The PCM "learns" it's parameters on the job. So, as Pico said, it should clear up after a few drives.

Let me expand on that a little. The base tune is stored in rom memory. It won't just disappear because the power has been removed. The PCM will change that tune somewhat due to variations in the car and your driving style. That is learned over time. That is what disappears when you perform a reset or remove the battery power. Like Pico said, a few driving cycles will allow the car to recover to it's ideal setting.

flash is a firmware. its hard coded into the chip, it wont get erased when disconnected from the battery.
what you will lose is the ram info such as injection trim. just drive it and it will learn itself.
