Build date 5/2003. I got it 3/04 brand new. no problems whatsoever. 32k miles. All flashes performed by the dealership. Still on my original tires. Interior is still immaculate. although the wheel on the rear passenger side has a little scrape from hitting a curb.

Almost as trouble free as my Jeep Wrangler.

My build date is 10/06. '07 model year and I brought her home on March 10th 2007 after finding her at the dealership on-line. She didn't have to sit around for long waiting for a home.
4700 miles currently, perfect condition. She was garaged during the winter but is back on the road now.

I have a pre-order '04, build date 08/03, reflashed once on request. Never had one problem with the car, but its a creampuff, it has never been in the rain.

Sad thing is it is 5 years later from the first builds and you still can't buy an rx-8 that is any better than the first ones. Come on Mazda!!

new windshield
lots and lots of little stuff, like shift ****, rear window and other misc stuff
