my RX8 is gone

as of monday, my rx8 is gonna be traded in and gone. i will be driving a 2005 Subaru WRX (blue) with premium package. i got a better deal on this than my rX8. i got shafted hard on the lease for my RX8 and my deal for this WRX is much better to handle. at least ill have a turbo to work with and alot more parts to choose from. my Rx8 was an automatic and i hated it so much. my wife doesnt know im doing this so she will be in for a suprise when she gets home from the desert!

i had fun knowing you guys here and wish you all luck!

How bad was getting out of your lease deal? How long did you own it? Do you mind if I PM you with some questions. (I may be in the same boat)

I think it's hilarious that he is wrapping it up, like it is a gift for her, then he is going to drive off in it!

Suprise, I bought myself a new car!!

If it saves $$ I don't think she will mind too much, but when she gets used to the boost, he might be in trouble...

You'll have fun with the WRX and there are mods aplenty, feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Or he could spend 1k in mods in the WRX and have about the same hp as a turboed RX-8 and still have some sembelance of a warranty. <shrugs>

Just cause your driving a Subi doesn’t mean you got to leave us. That's a great car. I watched the guys on tuners on Speedvision TV get one in to fix up and after they got thru scratching their heads decided they really couldn't do anything to it because the factory car was already maxed out so they tamed it down by replacing the hood with a simple one without the scoop and did a few hidden mods so it would be meaner than it looked (understated). Great car!

Those guys could be the biggest morons on TV. The WRX is very very moddable and for rather cheap. If you're handy with tools you can gut some cats and add a boost controller which will net you around 50whp for $15 spent at the hardware store. 50-75whp is a snap to get with basic boltons.

i didnt feel too good about my A/T anymore. not much for parts (right now) or any way to get a turbo on that thing.
