Aiko. Tradition dictates that all my cars get Japanese girls names that start with the letter A. Certain experts debate whether that will only apply to cars that are Japanese in origin, and so if I were to own a German car the name might be German. As of yet, that is a mystery that does not seem like it'll have an answer for many moons.
So I'm a nerd, sue me.

Everyone has asked me "what have you named her" I think after a car hits a certain point of price it requires to be named haha. So far her name is only "Baby".. or is refered to as "My Baby". Sadly I have alot of women friends so my list of possible names is short so leaning torwards a exotic rare name.
Its not a sissy thing to do to name your car just means you respect the car enough to give it/her a offical title/name.

As a 22 year old male who is quote familiar with the cars of his youth, end quote (and his friends cars), I find that guys who name cars usually "name" them something inherent in their make/model, or some derivation thereof. For example (and these are real examples)
'92 Saturn = "The S" (cause who wants to say "The Saturn" every time you reference your car, not to mention all those other Saturns out there)
'96 Acura Integra LS = "Integrals" (c'mon it said IntegraLS right on the back of the car)
'02 Jetta = "The Jet" or "Ta-Ta"
Subaru Impreza = "The Sub" (pronounced Soob)
I also vomit a little in my mouth every time my sister refers to her 2002 red honda civic as mariah, "cause she on fire"
Anyway, while my 8 is only two weeks old, I have a feeling it will be "named"/referred to as "the 8"

Please GOD not this trhed again. It is embarrasing enough that some of you play with Transformer toys.
This is the reason I am embarrassed to drive this car. I cannot wait for the lease to end so I can get back into a car that grown-ups drive.

I don't know how my friend stumbled upon this, but Naomi. And the reason for the name is because he found that backwards, Naomi spells out imoan (I moan)
Still can't believe he actually found that out.....

I'm leaning towards naming her "Shinka" just beacuse it sounds sexy and she already has it on the door pillars (not very imaginative, but I just got her and am still beaming, I can't believe she is mine!!)

Well, some people try to belong to a comunity (or buy a certin car for that matter) as a status simbol, while others do the same because we actually enjoy the car and the company of fellow enthusiasts... you can tell the difference by peoples contributions (or lack thereof)
Oh well, 'nuff said, either way everytime i open my garage door now I have a huge grin on my face...

LOL... So you are saying sitting around thinking of a name for you car, or playing with kids toys is a good use of time. You are the EXACT person I don't want to be associated with. How's that pocket protector doing?
Do you work in engineering or computers?

Now then: what other interesting names have people come up with for their 8s?

My training partner recently got a red one and named it Roxy. He keeps telling me "Roxy is better than Bella," even though we have exactly the same things options wise on our cars. The only difference is mine is blue with black and his is red with black/red. LOL

Krankor,
Answer this and I will not post here again.. Tell me your occupation.. My money is on computers, engineering or accountant. I'm guessing you are very analytical.
I am here for my love of cars.
Thanks..
