http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77034 this is me installing my screen, it took 6 hours. thats not even accounting for the time it takes to build the carputer, install the programs and make sure everytihng is in working order. and the biggest thing is, someone needs to make a good kit for your car for the screen, or it wont look right.

how much are the carputers? and where can i get them?

generally-speaking, navi is a nice option to have. however, the navi in the 8 is very non-intuitive and if u don't have the exact address of where u'r trying 2 go, it's most often useless.

for example, i've found that the 8's navi to be completely useless when i'm in an unfamiliar city and just trying locate the nearest guitar center or circuit city or best buy. specifically, it's almost impossible without knowing the exact address- which is a catch-22, because i'm looking it up on the navi because i don't know where it is. yet it won't tell me because i don't know the address.

it did however, find, denny's one time though. woopidity doo... i'd say get it if u like the way it looks. just don't expect it to be as useful as say the acura or lexus navi's, which by the way are really nice and functionally much more intuitive.
