Navigation question
Can anyone tell me how to reset the satellite navigation?
I want to remove the history.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I've done a search and read the manual but both have yielded no answers...

gotta clear out the visits to the Strip Club before the wife sees it, eh???
I don't know of a way to clear the history but I'm sure it's possible somehow.
Let me look around...

I did a cold restart on my Nav system about 7 months ago and it clears all the history.

There are some secret menus which will allow you to reset the nav.
(i just accidentally reset all my history points, locations etc)
But go to the version information screen, press (up, up, up, down, down down, up, up)
This will get you into a hidden menu where you can view various information such as total distance traveled, total time the unti was collecting data, number of times the cd has bee accessed, voltages etc...
I went down to "cd check" and hit "cold start" -- which then reset the nav system completely
you can either drive around and the nav should adjust for you, or you can fine tune your direction/location by hand.

I need to resent my NAV too. I has the car shipped from SoCal to NC and the navigation doesn't know I'm here. Any suggestion how to get it to wake up and realize I'm not on the west coast anymore? I already tried taking the disc out and re-inserting it.
I'll try the secret menu today.

Well I did the "cold start" and it moved me from driving in the ocean to Chicago.
I did it again after that, reset the GPS or some other setting, and did the cold start one more time, and voilia, it found my real position. Thanks for the hint on the secret menu!
