Need advice/help

Ok...So i'm not a mechanic,I know very lil basics...My 2007 RX8 is giving me trouble and I could really use some help to try and figure out what's wrong with my car without spending a butt load of cash at a dealership...It's hesitating to start, and running sluggish...I changed the spark plugs, coils and wires, which definitely needed to be done regardless...But the same symptoms are still there...What could this be? Starting to get frustrated cause no one I talk to know much about the rotary...

What's the mileage? Have you had a compression test done?? Is it harder to start after the engine is already warmed up?

DOUBLE check you've got the plugs and leads in the right way round, however if theyre all good and the coils have been changed as well, i'm afraid it sounds like you got engine problems. The only way to tell for sure is to get a compression test done. Do a search on here to find a list of specialists that may be near you.

Best bet is going to a Mazda dealer. MOST independent shops don't have the correct comp tester. When my engine blew I think they told me $185 for the test. Maybe it was $135. But I think $185. Good piece of mind.

OP do staring issues occur no matter if the car is warmed up or cold? What exactly do you mean by "the car is running sluggish?" How is you acceleration? Any weird smoke coming out of your exhaust (blue, or white)? Have you ever checked your catalytic converter? Please give us a bit more information about the car (year, model, manual/auto, maintenance record, driving style, etc.).

Hi,
My RX8 starts fine but when it gets halfway on the temp gage and i turn it off it takes ages to start again and at a petrol station this is quite embarrasing. I have had a compression test done and it is fine. Can someone help please???????????

When did the last time you change your coils, plugs, and wires? Give us more info about your car...year, mileage, mods, etc...

What were the results of your compression test and don't say "it was fine", what were the actual numbers and at what rpm?
