Nice words guys! Real classy! Now I know why I love u guys so much! Just to let u guys know, I just woke up from the massive hangover I had from drinking away 1000 dollars of free money!!!! Just to let u know I was thinking of all you while looking at the bottom of a empty shotglass, to sum it up in a nutshell, while doing a standstill to warm up his tires before his run, my friend blew out his tranny! Hahahaha I love when luck slides towards my way, so in conclusion the money that was handed towards another friend of ours (the medium) who was their to watch was gladly handed to me. But like a good friend that I am, I took him along for drinks on me "of course". Glad you and your friend had a good time. Sorry about his tranny. I was observing this thread when all the trash talking started and it bummed me out. I could see one point of view in that it seems crappy to have true friends betting so much money to prove a point. I have also seen times in my own life where the only way to shut a friend up was to git'er done.

I hope the bitterness wears off and you can feel good about posting again soon. Not everyone who enjoys this site is so critical.

I don't think it is very cool of you to bust on those who are sounding off about their problems on the site though. I can tell you are angry but without this site, a lot of good people that love their cars but don't know much about them, would be left at the mercy of the dealerships for information and that would truely suck.

AKA, I have no proof of anything. It's weird you didn't take a camera with you. Pics at the dragstrip? pics of blown tranny? pics of being handed the money? I would have taken a camera. But, I also wouldn't have made up and imaginary drag race, with my imaginary freinds car, for an imaginary amount of money.

I appreciate ur comments rogue, I originally came on this thread with a legit question, I did not mock anyone nor did I act like I was better than anyone on this forum, I just wanted some suggestions on a situation between a friend and I . I heard very good feedback about this forum and since I had just purchased a 8 I figured "why not give it a shot?". All of a sudden people want to post replys about how stupid I am for racing him and how the rx8 basically doesn't have any power, like I originally said, I would be racing for best quarter mile time, not off the line who gets there first wins race, if I can remember correctly, the manual does 5.6 0-60? If u ask me that's some good power there, not the greatest, but not the worst either, I just wanted some advice, but obviously if there's nothing wrong with ur car then u will not get a respectable reply from anyone in here, especially the so called "adults" who post pics from teen sites, grow up stewie, act like the professional that u claim to be in ur previous post, "I've been to driving school all my life etc..........", yo honestly sound like the drag racing punks u despise.
