Need help about bad tuning shop

Hi everybody, I really need some opinion here. It's about my car. First of all, I am NOT BORN in US so I am pretty lost and dunno what to do.(also plz forgive my bad english =.=">)

My RX-8 moded with a aftermarket crutch and flywheel in a tunner shop about 4 months ago. After the installation, there was some "WEIRD" sound while he shift, so he took the car back to that shop for checks (TWICE), and they said there was no probably abt the mods @ all.

Finally, last week, I was riding with my 8, and I got STUCKED on I-5N, bcoz of the car can't shift // put in any gears @ all.

So I got the car towed and bought it to the dealer for check. And today, the dealer told me bcoz of some bad installation of the curtch. He has to replace some parts in the transmission( 990$ parts ) also $1400 labour.

So I wanna know if the shop need to take any response about that?
If not my fd just gonna do it in the dealer...
If so, what I can do about it ? (He ordered the parts he needs the replace today), so I hope I can get some opinion about what to do within these 2 days so he can figure what he gonna do.

PS: that tunner shop is located in Fedal Way.(should I speak the name of it ?)
p.s.2: sorry for openning two posts. (one in the region forum)

You should have had the car towed to the tuner so you could say, "hey, whats up?".

since i don't think this is a big deal in the very beginning, so i just towed to the dealer.
Moreover, i lost my confidence to that shop so i choose to go to dealer.

If that shop is responsible for improperly installing your equipment, I would assume they are the ones who are responsible for paying for the repairs.

who was the shop. say the name.

if the mazda dealer is willing to put in writing that the clutch was improperly installed causing the damage then the shop should pay for the repairs.

I sure you have to give the option to the tuner shop to repair the damage.

Worse case after a lawsuit they won't have to pay for the high cost of labor at the dealer.

You will loose some money. It also depends upon the judge, he may just say you loose because you didn't give them the option to repair the damage.

You have to get Mazda to put it in writting.
