Need Help About RX-8

Hello, My first thread here
I'm from turkey and I'm about to purchase a rx-8, but there are two options for me, one is regular 2007 rx-8 at 0 km which is staying at dealers for 3 years, red ext. and red&black interior, without cruise control with sunroof and the other option is 40th year ann. ed. met. gray , you know without sunroof. Regular (red) one is cheaper than the 40th. ann. one about 3500$, but I'm concerning about the car becouse that too much staying undriven, probably it will ask for new tires soon becouse of the optimal shelf life of the tires will expire.
Can you help me about these two cars which one I should prefer, and the differences of these two cars and which one is better?
Also do you recommend this car? as I read before there are some problems like engine is dying or flooding problems, this kind of thing are very important for me becouse in turkey we have 3 years of guarantee and parts are very expensive I dont want to have problems with the car..

PS: 2007 year may be equal to 2006 in usa or europe as 40th edition is 2009 year in turkey, there may be some differences like this, and the roads are not excellent but okay in my district (izmir)

I'd say to a test drive of the 07 one, and figure out how it feels. 3 years of not moving at all is pretty.....yikes. If things don't seem right, head for the 40th.

At this stage, the cars shouldn't be having any sort of flooding/dying problems, as they've rectified a lot of the issues in the earlier models with flashes to the ECU, stronger starter and battery, etc.

Do a test and see how they feel.

it really comes down to preference, what floats your boat...

as far as engines dying and engines flooding that was more common in the 04, and 05s....little tweaks have been made, and now that is a thing of the past...

the only difference it the look of the car....test drive em both

We don't have test drive cars of this model here but I was able to drive another 2007 one but not 40th. and will not be able to do it. so I have to count on your opinions as drivers...

Do you have a Mazda dealership nearby that you can take it to for warranty service? If not, look at other cars, you need to be able to get it serviced under warranty. Besides, aside from a Mazda dealership it's hard to find rotary engine mechanics.

If you do go with the 07 I would request new tires as part of the buying agreement.

Agreed. Everything else in the car should be fine by sitting...tires are the big issue, and if you're buying a 20k+ dollar car, tires should be nuttin.
