Thanks Nice to meet you. I am a woman so not into all this but I do have questions. I bought my mazda about 3 months and was in a wreck on thanksgiving. My car was totaled I was sick about it. I am trying to find the exact same car or nicer. Do they make a convertible rx 8? What is the difference in the grandtouring package and the touring?

Erm, first off, in those 3 months of ownership did you keep up with oil levels and maintenance? Did you let the car fully warm up before turning it off? Did you have a 2004 AT or MT? No, they do not make a convertible RX-8.

It is an AT. Also I saw that there is a page here for cars for sale. If I find a car in another state and I want to have it shipped how can I tell if the car is not scratched or something. The pics are not going to show everything. I am kinda scared to do that. But there is not too many in my area that I want. I should be settling with the insurance this week. They said that the damage was $12,000. I hope I can find another for what I paid for that one it, was in great shape only had 35,000 miles. I saw the book value was around $17,000 I hope I can come out well.

you will prob have to pay some out of pocket to get another car in the same condition as yours. thats what sucks about getting your car totalled, even if its not your fault you still get the shaft

That really sucks because I paid $14,000 tax, tags and all and paid cash. I hope I don't get screwed. I loved that car thats why I want to get one exactly like it. I was hoping if I paid $14 and book value is $17 I would come out good!

oh and the grand touring i think was the highest model you could get...touring would be a model lower.....not too sure wat the big differences were but the grand touring probably had just a few more options...possibly a better suspension...but im not very sure

they will try to lowball you
they are going to want to save money on their end
make sure you get what you want or close to it and you are happy with it
may I ask if you were at fault with the accident?

Yeah I have been checking them out on autotrader too. If I find one it doesn't have something I want on it or higher miles. I love the color of my car and will probably get that same color but I love the black too. I just not have seen one in person yet. Is yours black????

Yeah i just love black cars. They are classy and sexy. I don't know it is hard to decide because I did like my car and didn't show dirt. But I know they are pretty when clean. My last car was black. But I live in Fl and I worry about the heat. I am trying to deicide if I find the right car and its manual if I really want a manual. I know it will make it ever more fun to drive but I don;t know if i want to be shifting gears all the time in town. Going to bed soon thanks for your help

wow, glad your ok...
anyways...make sure you get what you want or close to what you want from the insurance company...it may take a little longer, but will be worth it
