How about getting the exhaust system done?
Any suggestions?

A scant 90 minutes after my last post in this thread I easily maintained pace with a much more powerful 'stang on a spirited (well, a tad more than that) entry ramp thanks to the incredible cornering ability of the RX-8 (augmented by sticky 265x35 tires). So again, we want more torque, but don't really need it. As always it mostly comes down to driver skills well suited to and experienced with the vehicle at hand.

There may be a similar post on a mustang forum starting that an rx8 rode his *** on an on ramp, but he easily walked away once on the highway without even down shifting.....and actually got better mpg on the way home too.

I'm no domestic or ford fan, but lets be realistic.

^ ROTFLMAO!!! Actually, I was leading the parade. Of course I was again a mild mannered reporter by the time I actually got on the highway (long twisty ramp) where I was fully realistic in that he could of course easily walk away from me in a straight line without even breathing hard.

The saliant point is to enjoy the strengths of our vehicles and let it go at that. "A man's got to know his (and his vehicle's) limitations." -Dirty Harry
