last night i had my car out for a nice hard run and on my way home when i tried to give it wot on the highway while warmed up, my engine cut out and i could give it gas but it barely did anything accept sorta bog down and out finally stalling completely.

i waited a few seconds and it started back up fine and i drove away. seemed to accel fine. than after driving a little further i try to pass a slow driver on the highway and when i give it wot again it cuts out when i'm along side the other car. (this can't be safe) stalled out again and started back up fine.

when i got home my car seemed really hot so i looked under the hood everything seemed fine. other than being a little hot. but after looking under the car the catylatic converter had a small spot glowing bright orange on it. now i've read through the forums and seems this could be a clogged cat problem? maybe somebody could elaborate.

other than this problem the car runs perfect. only seems to happen when it's warmed up and been drivin hard that it cuts out.

i just installed brand new coils aswell.

any info would be great
