Im in agreement with some of the others in that you should be looking for a low mileage 07 or so manual. Save you a ton of cash, plus you can use the $ saved to customize it the way you want, whether it be cosmetic or performance upgrades. Just not worth spending $35k to get a car thats pretty much the same as its previous yrs with subtle changes that arent worth the extra $ IMO, whether u plan to race it or not.
But lets be serious, ur 16, just having a nice car, let alone an 8, is a great luxury so no matter what, you will be fine

eeek i understand your point of view. I also have a auto rx8 but its an 05 =). Yes i wish i could of gotten a manual because of many reasons haha. Yeah the autos go nowhere when you floor it haha -.- even the slowest cars launch faster than us haha even if u brake torque unless it gets to the mid range where it starts to make some power. I bought my car from a hayward mazda dealer around my area around the summer time so around 8 months. I wonder what they will say if i ask them about trading it in for the same but a manual. Thing is we downpaid quite a lot so in my situation its a waste of trading it in unless my car is paid off (3-4 years from now).
