Need Some Advice plz~!!!
So i have wanted an rx8 for a little while now, and have been trying to find a black one thats automatic. I found one the listed price was $19950, its 06.. around 11000 miles only. I went to the dealership to check it out. The interior is spotless, leather seats and all that but the outside has many scratches, some much more worse then others. One of the rims is ripped up, i guess from an a minor car accident that the previous owner had gotten into. There is some paint that is wore off on parts of the doors and side mirrors. I mean im not happy bout all that but i talked to the dealer and got him down to 17800, then again to 16500, he said he will get all the scratches and rims and everything fixed and all that.
Does it sound too good to be since he went down pretty quick, and offers to fix it all?
Not to sure so was looking for advice on what i should do.
And im not to familiar about rotary engines and RX8s so what other things should i check on before i buy the car. I drove it and it vibrates when i stop at stoplights, might be just the rotary engine, but other then that i like it. Any advice is welcomed.. Thanks :D

If you must get an automatic, look elsewhere. That thing sounds pretty dinged up for the price they're asking and the fact that its an automatic should make it worth even less.

Minor or not, an accident should devalue the car. I'd say 16.5 isn't too bad for the mileage. If you're happy with it after he fixes the damage then go for it, though the scratches and paint wear should have been fixed before it went onto the lot. The vibration you feel is idling at low rpms.

It's a buyer's market for RX-8s, particularly used. No reason you can't find one in a color and w/options you like at a very good price. If it was me, I'd look harder.
