Needs new engine, but mazda needs service record.

If it is stated that you have to service the car every x kms then this is what you have to prove you've done.

While the car was under warranty, the dealership would send me free oil change coupons. Therefore, the did my oil changes. When my last engine went bad, they asked for my service record. My reply was to look at their records because they did all the service. Since that time, I no longer get these coupons and I do the oil change myself. I immediately update the cars service record on the mazda site and keep the tabs from the oil filter box. On these tabs, I record the date and car mileage.

^.........And...as Al said.......Mazda provides a place to put service records on their site, so I update it with everything that I can when I do an oil change or anything. At least with the date, mileage, what was all was used/done, and the cost. Yes, the reciepts have to be kept separately, but I do like being able to log in and pull up the history(I even put info on my mods in there).

Ive been in your place before, try to dig up anything related to your vehicle that you may have purchased online or in person, anything from replacement parts to other fluids. If you ever purchased the oil from a big retailer you could call them (if you paid with ATM or credit card) and they can check your purchase history. Depending on the bank you have you can look back on your statements and it gives you the infor on what you purchased going years back. or you can perhaps borrow some receipts lol
BTW!!! on a side note----- interesting fact I noticed for anyone interested in buying higher grade motor oil's without worrying about their warranty being voided. I hate Walmart, but Walmart does not specify oil weight or whether you bought synthetic or not(except if you buy castrol SYNTEC or Royal Purple) on their receipts...but it just might be my local stores. It doesn't hurt to check it out though.
