Stupid question: Are the cloth seats all cloth or are the outer portions ribbed rubber (like on the '05 leather-equipped model I had for a couple of days)? I plunked down $500 for them to go get my cloth-equipped model and I've never even sat in a cloth RX-8.

And for those that have cloth (or have checked them out)...what's the quality like? I think I've read a review or two where they indicated that the quality of the fabric was sub-par. Would you agree or disagree?

One more question...the '07 cloth seats lack any special adjustments (e.g., Lumbar), correct? Are they still pretty supportive/comfortable?

I took possession of the car last night. Drove off the lot with 108 miles (most of those were probably from earlier that day when the sales rep had to drive it to Colmar, PA from somewhere near NYC).

I'm definitely happy that I went with a new one (has that new car smell) and definitely happy that I went with the base Sport model (w/Performance Package) so as to get the cloth seats and added headroom (by not having a sunroof). I was pleasantly surprised this morning to discover that my seat had some sort of pump-style butt-height adjuster. If only it had a lumbar adjustment, too.

The quality of the cloth was very nice (I had never seen the cloth in person prior to picking up my car). The inner section has a suede-like feel. I'm hoping it's breathable, but I'm sure it will be better than leather on a hot day.

I was bummed that they couldn't add the HomeLink mirror at the dealer (apparently the Sport model isn't pre-wired for it), as it would have been nice to have one less gadget (my garage door opener) cluttering up the interior.

Now I just need to find someone in the area who can hook up my Audio Link USB/AUX-in device. I'm thinking that I might like it wired somehow behind the ashtray, which would require someone experienced with fabricating plastic pieces for a stock look. If anyone reading this is in my area (Chester County, PA) and is familiar with some good audio installers, please let me know.
