To me it would be a tough call.
MT is way better than AT as you know.
05 is better than 04(IMO), no....I'm not putting on the flame suit, let'em come at me, the data tends to back me up.
60k is kinda high on mileage..........I have 13k on mine, but I'm way below average. Even at 40k it would be a little high.
20 inch wheels are for pimps only, so who really cares.
If you really want the black MT, even with high miles(only thing that backs me away), then I would do what the person said above.............straight trade or maybe with and 3k not one penny more............full out the door........or walk.

^^Well, go in with a stern attitude that you want it ALL with a straight up trade in. Be sure to give the reasons why, try to downplay that 05 the best you can in favor of the trade in. Just stress that you wanted a MT or else it wouldnt even be getting consideration due to the HUGE (just say it like that for effect) amount of miles on the MT vs. your AT. IF they say no, say fine and walk out. If they havent called you back within a day or so, then i would go back at them with soemthing like "Welllll, what if i purchase and extended warranty?"....THEN see what they say. They arent going to sell that 05 RX-8 anytime soon.
if in the end it all falls through, big whoop, repeat the whole song-n-dance with some other dealership with a similar MT 8 in stock.

Well the thing about getting a warranty "thrown in" is that u still pay for it, the cost of the warranty comes out of commission. So your not necessarily getting it for FREE but you screwing the salesman! haha.

If they "bumped" the price of the vehicle enough theyll usually include that type of thing if you request it and they have room. ** hint: If theyre really fast to say yes or offer u a warranty or other reaaallllyyy NICE things, they probably made some good $$ off of you.

interesting seeing as I did the exact same thing about 2 months ago, but mine was a straight trade, an AT for an MT, if its any otherwise, don't do it
and the milage should be about the same
