Congrats
Welcome to the club, and the car! I'll see you around the office later !
Hey Mike,
Good meeting you and Nice car!
Ask around and see if other '05s have smoked up headlights like that or if it was some cleaning mistake the prior owner did, and what you can do about.
Congrats again

Fixed the headlights when I got home with the DIY restoration kit. Looks good as new now.
Found another problem. A/C control is stuck on heat. I did the radio power+scan up to check what the temperature was set at. (0-16) Turns out it wouldn't go below 13. So if the dealership won't fix it tomorrow, i'll just wind up doing the DIY solder fix.
Oh yeah and i bought a borla exhaust.

Sorry for the double post.
Just got back from the dealer inspection. Supposedly he is one of the best mazda mechanic in the country. Won many competitions around the world.
Heres a quick list of what they found.
- Brake fluid slightly dark (what does this mean?)
- Oil was low
- Very slight damage to 3 wheels
- Tire inflater kit missing (price check anyone?)
- Exhaust hanger not connected at differential (idk why he couldn't just put it back on)
- Lower front cover missing clips/screws
- Rear bumper trim loose
- Temperature control problem (like i said)
- Most of the car has been repainted (cant even tell, but might show in the long run)
Everything else is good though. Although I will be getting plugs and coils. Maybe a new ignition kit.

Most important on this list IMO would be that the oil was low. Typically you should check this about every two fill-ups and keep it near the full mark on the dip stick. Over filling is almost just as bad, so don't do that either.
Brake fluid................meh, it's probably just a little old. Could use replacing at some point down the road.
I got plenty of clips and screws if you need them.
Temp control....????....I'd have to do an advanced search and see what's up with that.
Tire inflator kit.............not really needed, but would be handy if you are ever stranded.
Maybe I should sell you mine!

Temp control is an easy fix i found. Just removing the radio face plate and soldering a few things.
Let me know about the tire inflater kit. Wouldn't mind having one. Although i do like having the "seatbelt" for my 2 quarts of oil in the trunk.

well i think the cobb is not that good as i though it would be i had it and sold it and then bought the apexi neo which is really good works a little better than the cobb in mixture and is half price so you should get the apexi neo and then a really nice exhaust system. don't worry about the look for now you can lower it and put nice rims that is how a did mine, but my car i bought it with the appearance package so that is my opinion

First major purchase came in today. Hopefully i can install it friday. Didn't come with any clamps though. Does it matter what kind i get? As long as they are the right size.

Define clamps?
You should just be using the same rubber hangers off the old exhaust when you put this one on. There are no clamps that I can recall. You will also be using the same bolts and possibly the gasket off the old exhaust at the other end, so be a little careful on that end.
