Welcome to the forums, glad to hear you're going to get an 8.
The best thing, as stated above, is just to read around, and get to know anything before you even buy one yet, there's plenty to learn.

Thank you for all who have helped, I have been researching this past week on sports cars and the 8 is what I want most. I had a 2004 F-150 but unfortunatly it was sandwhiched because two ******** behind me do not know how to race correctly. However, gas is going up so I cannot get a truck therefore my interest became into sporty cars. I was raised on a standard and love how it feels to drive one. Although the 8 does not have the greatest gas mileage, it has much better than what my truck did. I am going to keep browsing on 8s and continue to learn on everything there is to know about them. I have been looking at google, and reading alot of information on here, now I just get to find some girls to test drive and one to have as my own.

Some girl's to test drive? What, don't want to drive a guy's Rx8? Haha.
But, yeah, they're not the best on gas mileage, especially not if you don't keep the maintenance up.
For the record, mine, I always have the sunroof open, and windows down, I let it idle for 5-10 minutes, depending on the temperature, for it to warm up, and I do a mix of city/highway driving, and I average 16.8-17.X or so mpg, up to 23ish pure highway, like on trips, and you do have to run premium.
But that sucks about the F-150, I'm glad you're alright.
Heck, my dad has a 2004 F-150, that's funny,

Lol yes I would rather buy from a guy, but I was referring to the 8s as the girls, that is what I do to whatever I own, I never called my truck a truck it was always she or her....
Your dads isn't a black STX is it?

No, but it does look just like this, black as well. Just the rear wheel drive version, not 4x4 or anything.

Ah, the way I read it, I figured you meant a friend who was a girl who had one, I just figured I'd give you a hard time, lol. And I've actually only met one a person, another 8 owner actually, who called her 8 a guy, everyone else I know, even girls, call their car/truck/bike/whatever a girl.

Damn that truck almost identical to mine!
I can see why she would call it a guy, I mean it is a manual!
After insurance finally pulls threw I can look even more but for now I am just browsing, it was a four vehicle accident so of course they are taking their sweet time to settle everything. Getting very impatient but I know after I get my 8, all this waiting will be worth it.

Oh, I can imagine.
Though, one, I was the car in the middle of an accident. A car backed into my car in a parking lot, backed it up into another car, I come outside to find that, and I ended up being the one at fault, because they never could pin it on the other guy, so they needed someone, so it was me. That took all of about a day, I mean, 16 years old, brand new Lexus damaged? Yeah, they wanted me from the get-go.
And yeah, it's a nice truck and all, but I like my sportier cars.

I am located in Texas, 254 area, I am definatly going to have to travel to find my 8, sorry to hear about your accident, that's how people are. Always judging, I will check out the female thread but not sure if I will post, most females I cannot stand but maybe they are different, I like to chance people, females are great to look at but not enough duck tape sometimes, I even need duck tape every now and then ha.

I am not trying to be wrong, just have had my expierence with women and that is mostly get screwed over, anyhow men need a punch in the face sometimes haha, but in all seriousness I just have selected amount of friends, I let everyone in until they decide to do the wrong thing. It is just how I am... I looked at the mazda dealership locally today, did not have any 8's, made that trip for nohing, However found a few near Dallas that weren't to bad and a few in Austin.
