hey guys! im 16 an this rx8 has caught my eye after test driving one the other day an noticed how great its handling is an how slow its acceleration an speed is. so this got me thinking would this make a good first car. being its great handling an lack of speed an its good safety with the billion air bags in it.i know you guys have probably heard this question millions of times. I know insurance might be on the high side but no one can really predict what the quote will be so im not asking that but i do wanna know if this is a reliable car if properly taken care of. thanks!

Mine says 2-door coupe on my automobile insurance. Even the DMV sees it as a 2-door coupe. So, it should say 2-door coupe. Anyway, if it's an 04 your getting, how many miles does it have on it? Whichever or whatever you decide to choose, read the stickies and good luck. Post pics as soon as you have it.

^..............I would, but that's me.
Warranty for new motor(free...if oil receipts) expires at 8 years or 100k miles. That plain and simple.
Before you ask 100 more questions, if you are REALLY serious then should go read these threads.................at least the first few posts.

Yah, I just owned myself. WTF is "ther're"? Say it with me "ther-rer"
LOL thank you. Regardless of which model or year you get, they're all 1.3L.
Old habits die hard. Could you sprinkle a few more commas and periods in your posts? Doesn't have to be perfect, but we'll get there... eventually.

Well, hmm..
My first car was an Mx6, and when I got it, I signed up on the Mx6 website, and wanted to learn everything I could, especially having a car myself to tinker on. I was 16 at the time, but the same with any car forum, you need to act like you're responsible enough, and old enough, and have the knowledge to deal with a car.
The biggest appearance we'll get of you from that, is your typing. Sorry, it's juts nicer when someone types like they passed grade school, it's really not all that hard. Any car forum, well, I don't know about Honda ones(Sorry, I just had to, haha.), is going to want you to type in a way that doesn't give headaches to read.
And, all car forums get it a lot, where people ask things that could be easily found if searching.
Be yourself on here, enjoy the forums, but at least when you're posting, make it a post that doesn't seem like you're from elementary school. I'm not trying to be rough at all, or anything, I'm just saying, for the most part, use good grammar, punctuation and all. We all know mistakes, and slip ups, or if you just don't know how to spell a certain (easy) word, like above, happens, and we'll all poke fun at each other, sort of like how I just did, but that's part of the fun.
Okay, now life lecture over, use the search button, ***** it out, show it who's boss, and it'll be your friend. Read the stickies, they're rather helpful, and peek into all the threads that interest you.
Hell, back to when I joined the Mx6 forum, I spent weeks, probably months, trying to catch up on all the information on there. Once you learn a decent bit about cars though, it all pretty much carries over, just each car will have it's little quirks, but that won't take days and weeks worth of reading about.
So, if anyone comes across as being rough or anything, they're usually just trying to help you out. I personally hope you end up sticking around, and learn a good bit.
And by the way, for your parents offering to buy you an Rx8, you'd better leave them a note saying "Thank you" every freaking day. Like seriously, you're lucky. Mine didn't even give me a grand, but I'm still glad they helped me get the Mx6 I got. But a grand is a hell of a lot less than like $13k+, or however much the one you get is.
Edit to your edit:
Do you mean circumcised?

Ya, keep working on it, kid. At the ripe old age of 16, you don't want the RX8 to be greatest car you will ever own, and end up broke driving a beater later in life because your grammar and spelling were bad. It could happen.
By the way, other than the misspelling, it's "might have" not "might of".
You know what? I think you might be better off with a Civic. Shoot for that, and be happy. Also, don't get any tattoos until you can spell better.

RX8 is not a cheap car to run, 16MPG, drink a lot of oil, expensive insurance, and extensive maintenance.
